For various reasons I was sad to hear the news of his death.

His children were the first to spring to mind.

I'm very grateful for all that he shared...

Communication

Due to the company I keep precise grammar and language fall away and communication becomes the key ...........

I'll miss these beautiful words & just wanted to list a few before they go and mature on me.

Some have already disappeared before my heart was ready to say goodbye.

Geek Music!..... it's music that has a few tooting sounds within it.

Communication is a magical gift we all share.

To not communicate is impossible!

We communicate in such a wonderful variety of ways ....... from the person who has little to say yet communicates a lot.

Some can't stop talking, but have very little to say...

We dance, we sing, we draw and we withdraw.

No matter what we do we're always communicating.

We don't always listen and we're not always in tune, but we are always communicating.

Winter joy...

It's winter time here in Perth, Western Australia.

I live a very short distance from this beautiful ocean and visit it almost everyday.

I like to walk with my dog here and rejuvenate my spirit.


An overcast day is a treat for us here in the West as most days are cloudless and the sky is the brightest blue.
So far we're experiencing a warm and mostly dry winter. The little rain that we've had has given life to our gardens and bushland.

The Yellow Flowering Gum and Golden Banksia are in blooom.

these little beauties are singing in my garden...

geraniums...

hibiscus...

lavender...

alyssum...(smells as sweet as honey)

jade...
(considered good fortune to have growing at the entrance of your home)

and many more beauties whose names I've forgotten...

Home is where your heart is......

Who writes the rules?

How do we define the word friend and why is that we only extend the hand of friendship to a few?
Why is it that in some situations we don’t use the word acquaintance when that’s probably what we really mean?

Why aren’t all fellow human beings seen as our friend? Is this because friends don’t hurt us and others who aren’t friends do?
Who writes the rules?

Why do some people call us friend when we don’t feel comfortable calling them friend?

I could have a go at answering these questions and I’m confident we wouldn’t all agree with my answers. What we would all agree is that we'll imagine an answer that we believe to be true, because we write the rules.

We are our own worst enemy and our own best friend.

Be kind to yourself.

regret introducing my son to television

The natural world is beautiful no matter what corner of it you occupy.

You don't need to travel far from your chair to witness beauty.

Look to the sky.

That's a very uplifting simple start and it’s free. Television suggests that life isn't complete without home improvements, exotic holidays and endless drama.
To jump-start your thoughts in the direction of original thinking, turn off the television.

Imagination deprivation comes with watching too much television.

Be kind to your beautiful mind and give it a rest from junk food.

Television is a choice and not a necessity. I'm not suggesting never watching television, nor to feel guilty when you do. I am suggesting that you bring what you do into your conscious thinking so you can make informed decisions about what you view.

Yes I have lived without viewing television for extended periods of time and some of those times have been the most memorable and creative periods of my life.

And chain the pens to the counters.

Do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars

Lock our junk and cheap lawn mower

3 Aussies die each year
Testing if a 9v battery works on their tongue.

58 Aussies are injured each year
By using sharp knives instead of screwdrivers.

31 Aussies have died since 1996
By watering their Christmas tree
While the fairy lights were plugged in.

8 Aussies had serious burns in 2000
Trying on a new jumper
With a lit cigarette in their mouth.

A massive 543 Aussies
Were admitted to Emergency
In the last two years
After opening bottles of beer with their teeth.

And finally.........

In 2000 eight Aussies cracked their skull
Whilst throwing up into the toilet.
