20 things that nurture me...

Friendships: I thrive because of them.
Michael: he’s a wonderful cook and I love him.
Letters: hand written letters are rare treasures that I enjoy being able to touch and read.
Games: I enjoy playing all sorts of games, board games, cards & children’s games too. I like to play.

Laughter: my own, other peoples and especially my sons.

Creativity: life is beautiful because of it.

Music: a wonderful tool for transformation… it’s magical.
Walking: I love to walk for pleasure. It makes my heart sing.
Dancing: always makes me feel good.

Touch: the gentle touch of a child, hugging (people and animals) and a good firm massage nurture me.

Water: I like Emoto's concepts...

Gardens: being in them, creating them, having them all around.

Imagination: the ability to dream.
Meditation: is a integral part of my daily life.

Learning: keeps me excited for life.

Nature: to be in it, with it, aware of it at all times.
Moments: being in them as often as possible.... a quiet mind.
Smell: sun dried cotton... just love it.
Wind: particular winds make me feel exhilarated (not the tummy kind, though I am still foolish enough that they can make me laugh :)
Smiles: I like to give them and I like to recieve them.
all the above are connected and wouldn't really mean much without each other...
Thank you Braja for the invitation to create this list.
It was enjoyable to think about.
Also I would like to thank The Crow for exposing me to the beautiful Science video.

best wishes

Thinking about Renee...

I love Renee too…
I know that a lot of us do. I don't believe that you can meet Renee and not love her.
I can’t stop thinking about her... she's a living Angel.

When I first met Renee I was impressed by her extensive art collection. It’s beautiful, diverse and enormous.
I enquired if she was the artist behind some of the poignant works.
Renee told me that she had stolen a lot of them and that her sister Jacquie had shown her how. (I'm not sure why, but this makes me laugh every time I think of it)I immediately conjured images of her in a black cat suit slinking about the internet stealing imagery. I shared this image with her and she laughed and replied that she was a little too large to slink.
I love Renee...
Why am I telling you this? I’m not exactly sure, but I want to share with you some of my thoughts of Renee. You see Renee is dying. Right now as I type she is leaving the world we know.
Renee has the wonderful ability to make you laugh and cry all in the same moment. She is smart, wise, witty, beautiful, and extremely lovable; therefore you can understand my sadness at her leaving.
I can’t stop thinking about Renee and why would I want to? Thanks again my beautiful friend Renee for all that you shared. You are a bearer of great gifts.
I wish all good things for you. I love you Renee...
I'm hugging you now and kissing you goodbye. Farewell my beautiful friend xoxoxoxo
thinking of you all...
with love

fragments of SUMMER & an INVITATION for YOU

We've had a particularly hot summer here in Perth this season. January was recorded as being the hottest since 1974.

Regular visits to the beach have been needed by the entire family including our much loved old hound.

This view pictured above is from a dog beach looking south towards Fremantle.

Beaches for dogs to roam free are easily accessed here in Perth, Western Australia.

Indulging in all the pleasures of summer

makes my heart sing...

Gifts from nature...

and much loved friends...

(thank you)

Glimpses of joy on the street.

Tales of summer pleasures...

and the beginning of new adventures.....

...Whilst I've been away from my blog I've been trying to unravel a bundle of thoughts that revolve around an idea that I would like to share and explore with you.
The concept exists because of your creativity and can only be actualized in conjunction with you.

For practical reasons this idea is best not revealed here on my blog, but by invitation only.
This is a project that could possibly involve up to a hundred bloggers.
To manage this project in a practical manner initially I would like to invite 13 (a bakers dozen) bloggers to email me so I can forward information regarding this creative pursuit.

One of the reasons I'm listing bloggers I wish to invite is so that you will have an indication of who may be involved in this project.
